Itinerary
Pre Tour 29/08/2016
Meet, Greet, dinner and spend the pre tour night in our hotel ready for an early start next morning.

Day 1 30/08/2016
Early morning pick up for a city sights tour of Perth.  We then make our way to Kings Park for a half day tour exploring the 400 hectares of wonderful gardens. Being only minutes from Perth’s CBD you will be amazed at the array of more than 1700 species of wildflowers, from botanic gardens, parklands and native bushland, not to mention the wonderful views to be had overlooking the city and beautiful Swan River.  After lunch we venture east to visit John Forrest National Park, the states oldest national park before making our way back to our hotel.  Overnight: Perth

Day 2 31/08/2016
After a hearty breakfast we start our journey north.  Today we travel to bushland near Gin Gin where we start to see some of the incredible wild flowers we will encounter every day.  From here we make our way to Badgingarra National Park where we will look for rarities. Then it is on to Leseuer National Park with its impressive flat topped hills and undulating landscape.  On arrival we will explore this wonderful park, which is one of the important reserves for flora conservation in Western Australia with 111 regionally endemic plants. Black and yellow Kangaroo Paw, Purple Star Flower and Mottlecah to name but a few.  After this stunning display it is on to the coast for our first look at the Indian Ocean before we book in to our accommodation.  Overnight: Cervantes

Day 3 01/09/2016
Today we make our way north to Geraldton.  Our first stop will be at Nambung National Park to view the awe inspiring Pinnacles an ancient petrified forest before heading on to our friends at Hi Vallee farm.  This property boasts the “greatest” concentration of rare and endangered plant species on private land in Australia. On leaving here we make our way to Eneabba for a guided walk to look for such gems as Verticordia grandis, Grevillea exposita and Banksia hookeriana and many many more.  On departure we make our way to Geraldton for a tour of the port and town.  Overnight: Geraldton

Day 4 02/09/2016

On leaving Geraldton we head north through Northampton via the spectacular coast road to Kalbarri.  Many opportunities to stop en route to see the mind blowing displays of wildflowers with many species of orchid including, bee, cowslip, donkey, spider and the blue, shy and vanilla sun orchids.  It is always worth keeping a vigilant look out for the rare and endangered Northampton midget Greenhood.   As we near Kalbarri we will stop at some of the iconic lookouts before making our way out to Kalbarri National Park spending the afternoon exploring this amazing park.  Admire how the Murchison River has carved its way through the landscape creating breathtakingly beautiful gorges, be amazed at the variety of colour and diversity of form that abounds with the incredible wildflowers.  Such wonderous species including massed Verticordias, Plume Grevilleas, Coppercups, Banksias, Starflower, Smokebush, Kangaroo Paws, Geleznowia and many more.  Overnight: Kalbarri

Day 5 03/09/2016
Is a rest day. You can spend a relaxing day in Kalbarri shopping, lazing around the motel pool or for those more energetic accompany our guides to further explore Kalbarri National Park. Overnight: Kalbarri

Day 6 04/09/2016
Today we travel inland to Mullewa via the North West Coastal highway passing through many different habitats each with beautiful and spectacular wildflowers.  We will travel through the northern mallee shrublands and heath, one of the richest and biodiverse plant zones in the world.   Stopping to admire massed fields of paper daisies, Keraudrenias, many different peas, Teresonia the button creeper, Grevilleas, Calytrix, Diplolaena, to name just a few.  As we make our way towards Mullewa we will keep a look out for the bizarre and truly beautiful Wreath Lechenaultia.  Overnight: Mullewa

Day 7 05/09/2016
From Mullewa we head south to Dalwallinu, with many stops on the way. We will be on the lookout for any unusual or previously unseen flowers, stopping when interesting species are sighted. Possible species on the way are beautiful Hakeas, Eucalypts, Calothamnus, Lambertia, Chamelaucium, Petrophile, Conostylis, Conospermum and many others.  Overnight: Dalwallinu

Day 8 06/09/2016
On leaving Dalwallinu we again make our way south stopping at Wongan Hills. We search some of the diverse habitats in the area looking for rare Dryandras, Flame Grevilleas, the Wongan Cactus and many more.  Then it is on to New Norcia and stop for a brief walk around this fascinating and historical town, before continuing on through the Chittering Valley to our accommodation, a beautiful old hotel at York. Day 9 07/09/2016
This is our final day, we take a quick tour of historic York before making our way to an open garden property near Goomalling. After morning tea it is on to Gooseberry Hill and Kalamunda National Parks. These two national parks are on the outskirts of Perth in the Darling Ranges and again have a rich variety of beautiful plants. We make our way back to Perth early enough for people to visit some of the city shops.  Dinner and our last evening together.
